I always thought someday I would make a stained glass quilt, but before I got around to it, I saw a tutorial for a wonky, use up your scraps pattern that I just had to try. It follows sort of a random, any shape or size piece can be used as long as it is separated by a grout like piece between the colors, Not a fast quilt for me to make, but I did like the final result.

Thanks, Cari.  I really enjoy creating quilts, and this one had the bonus of using up some of my saved scraps.  Used a dark red/black print for the border and backing which I really didn't like, but at least it's finally been used!

That’s really lovely Mavis, and is a bonus quilt as it was made from scraps.

I think I'm gonna dig out some scraps and see if I can make something like this. I've been in a funk all week and haven't wanted to sew at all but this makes me want to get back in my sewing room.

Beautiful. I have a huge box of odd silk tie scraps so this looks perfect. Thanks for sharing.
