Hello, last Saturday I had the opportunity to get an old white sewing machine (VSII?) With some missing as the bobbin case and the sliding lid, I gave myself the task of cleaning it and oiling it because it was stuck. it was very good but I took a bobbin case from a New Home and although it went in and up the thread of the coil is breaking it.
The questions are: some of you have a machine that tells me how to thread the thread and if someone has a picture of the bobbin case to know if it is the same.
I leave some images of before and after and in advance I appreciate your help, greetings.

Your White VS machine uses a White shuttle and bobbin. These have a long pin in them with a tubular bobbin which has a hole in each end to engage the drive stud of the bobbin winder. The shuttles and bobbins are hard to find. I wound up making my own bobbins in my shop. Before you ask, yes I do plan to make some for sale when the shop warms up in spring and will be listing them on eBay.

Thanks for the information, I will be attentive for when you have one for sale, greetings

Andy, I have a White VS1 (boat shuttle), a VS2b, and a VS3, none of which have the large square opening to the right of the faceplate.  Katie Farmer would know this machine, as I have not seen another like it.

Hello John, excuse my awkwardness but the translator does not comment well on your comment, do you mean that this machine is not the VSII? in fact I also have doubts since I did not find much information about it, however it would be nice to have some pictures of your bobbin cases, greetings and thanks for your comment

Andy, I have this machine and also a spare bobbin case & bobbins.  I don't know where you're located and whether the shipping would be worth it to you, but you're welcome to them (the bobbin case & bobbins).  I had identified my machine as a VSII, but now I'm not sure where I got that info as I cannot find it again.  The bobbin case is a bit rusty, but only surface and would be easy to clean.

This one has been identified as a VSIIb,which accounts for the differences from a VSII.  Does that look and sound correct ?

[/CITAR]

Hello Hilltopomesteader, it would be great if you could help me, because where I am is difficult and also expensive when you find those pieces, if you do not mind I send you a private message, I thank you in advance for your time, regards.

Your machine looks really beautiful, I think the most noticeable difference is that the thread strip of mine is exposed, apparently it is a few years before the VSIIb, regards

It just lacked the bobbin case, some small adjustments and the machine already knows what it has to do for 130 years, I still very grateful, greetings.
[/ QUOTE]

Hello Jenny, the translator does not help much and I do not understand what you mean, could you be more explicit in your question? Thank you.

Jenny I think he means that his slide plate is missing. It probably didn't translate well.

Thanks Cari.  I thought it must have been something I am familiar with. I realise there are different terms in different countries and also with translation.  Grateful for you answering me.  Understand now.
