Yesterday I saw a White 3/4 VS - portable electric. 50s-ish? It had the rectangular white decal that makes it look as if they slapped a label on the arm. (Phone was in car-no photo).

Anyhoo, it had a Singer 8301 shuttle, and 3 bobbins. I had just bought the Casige, and just don't know enough about White, so I passed on it. Seller would have taken $25, which, in retrospect, isn't a bad price for an original shuttle and bobbins.

So, question is: is the Singer 8301 what this White uses?

I'm wondering if it was like the Nelco 3/4 machine like what is in post #4 on https://www.victoriansweatshop.com/post/colorado-gettogether-9499001 I referenced/linked some of the other badged names to similar machines, one of which is "White."

Janey

CD (ThayerRags) also posted some pictures here on VSS at https://www.victoriansweatshop.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1305661034&postcount=3915&forum=501752 Later on the page https://www.victoriansweatshop.com/post/hey-check-this-out-7894772?&trail=3950 Cari said that indeed takes Singer shuttle and bobbin.

I have one of those.  I could not resist a Transverse Whittenberg VS Zigzag set up as a handcrank...  too anachronistic!

Hm, no. This had the look of a 28/128, front and back slide plates, low bobbin winder, I believe. It did have the tall slot stitch length adjustment panel. Not a zz.
