Yes she is very smooth and quiet. So typical of German machine. I am using her now to put a quilt together. The bobbin winder works perfectly and evenly winds the long bobbin beautiful. I wish I could find the manual for the machine. The cabinet looks like a campaign desk and is ebony. Very German looking.

Beautiful machine Skipper.  It looks tiny.  It is a 1/2 or 3/4 size?  I can't wait to see more photos of this machine, and definitely pics of your quilt.

It is a 3/4 about the size of a 28. I really like the cabinet. The extension of the left comes off and will sit on top when the machine is folded away and makes a writing desk. The extension also has a key and will lock into place on top of the cabinet making a nice smooth surface for writing. A friend said it may be 1/2 size but it is little larger than that. As I said in another post it is very much like a campaign desk. This is turning DSCF3092.jpg  DSCF3094.jpg  DSCF3095.jpg  out to be a great machine.

That is one neat looking machine.  The thing that always catches my eye on those European treadles is the oil can holder on the irons.
