This machine is too far away from me to buy, but I have never seen one before or heard of the name. I love the cabinet!

MIP is a French brand name it stands for Mécanique Industrielle de Précision. The company was more well-known for making cinema projectors but it also make sewing machines. These are quite common in France.
According to http://projecteur.mip.free.fr/hist.htm (a website dedicated to the MIP projectors) the company officially named itself MIP in 1945 so your machine mustbe from after World War II, most probably the late 50s when green became fashionable for sewing machines lol.

Very heavy duty looking treadle in a minimalist space saving cabinet.  Looks very nice.  Best regards Mike

Beautiful machine. Reminds me of a '50s Bernina.
