Our daughter is getting married in about 3 months and I've decided I want to make a quilt as part of their wedding gift.

I'm making the Morse code quilt called Code Word Love from Quilty magazine (J/F 2019) and collecting fabrics to make it scrappy style with the dots and dashes from prints representing things they like or have special meaning to them.  I bought 3 lots of I-spy blocks on Ebay and did get several really good prints but there are 216 dots and dashes in the 9 blocks to make this quilt.

I'm looking for anything related to wrestling, computers, video games, hockey, potatoes,  coffee, bacon, cheese, steak, bubbles, books, house plants, socks, dogs (especially corgis!)  A  2 1/2" square is large enough for a dot, 5" square for a dash. I would so appreciate being able to find some of these to add to the mix.

Wish me luck on this, it will be my first full size pieced quilt that isn't just simple blocks sewn together. I hope to also quilt it myself on one of my vintage machines but if time gets away from me I can finish it on my sister in law's long arm.

Sounds wonderful! I don't have much variety in my stash...mostly floral and texture...

Wishing you luck and the bridal couple happiness.

Thanks Lori!

Having 4 daughters, our fabric stashes all tend to go toward the more girly looking prints.

The quilt show is just a couple of weeks away though so I'll have access to vendors there and hopefully their annual garage sale at the same time.

I looked through my stash and can't find anything even remotely close to what you're needing, sorry. I was sure I had a few of these novelties.

Karen, I do have some "golfing" fabric (no large pieces, but some probably 10-12" wide -- I know that's not what you were asking for, but it's all I have (and I'll have to find it, too!)  Hope you're not having too much flooding and storms where you are in Oklahoma -- I have a sister who lives in Claremore, and a niece in Fort Gibson (near Muskogee), and we've been keeping in close touch with them.  I'm a transplanted Arkie myself.!

Cari and Jeanette thank you for checking I really appreciate it.

Jeanette we're a few miles from the river and at a fairly decent elevation so flooding hasn't been an issue in our neighborhood.  I really feel for you family in Ft Gibson, that area was hit very hard, I hope your niece wasn't in the worse of it.

KarenH,  I have two pieces of coffee fabric that have coffee cups, coffee bean bags, coffee grinder, old fashion type coffee pot. I also have dog fabric but I could not find a single corgi on any of it. If you can be more specific about any other type of dog, I may have it. Also, did you want reality dogs or more like "cartoon" type dogs that are more cutesy ... or does it even matter? Let me know and I will see if I can cut any of these up into the sizes you want.  KLO

I didn't forget about you, I just can't find the sack!!  We had to empty the back room for water repairs, and I don't remember where it got moved to.

KLO,
Either type dog is fine, and pretty much any breed would work.
The coffee fabrics would be great too.
The dots need a 2 1/2" square, the dash piece is 2 1/2" x 4 1/2".  a 6" square would be enough for both if you have it.
Thank you!

Sorry KarenH,  I forgot to come back and check to see if you responded to my post. I will cut up some of the fabrics that I found and send them off to you soon. Just send me your address and I will get them out as quickly as possible. Hope I am not too late!
