I am downsizing my collection and want to sell my 1950s Universal DST Sewing Machine. Asking $50.  Pick up at my house.  However, I am willing to drive 1 hour in Wisconsin to meet you to deliver.   Goodbye my little cutie.1 Universal.jpg
Just re-cleaned and oiled it yesterday.  Test stitches are perfect even though I had to manually turn the balance wheel to get them.  Ha! the belt broke as I was taking it off during cleaning.  I'll get another belt this weekend to replace.

It is a straight stitch, with Reverse Button on the pillar.  Big knob on the pillar to dial 0-5 stitch length.  Standard Class 15 bobbin case.  Universal block power supply and foot control (new).

Machine has a "drop down-to open door" under the arm--that holds a standard sewing machine bulb--with a round, twist to turn-on knob.  The jade green/turquoise with ivory finish is like glass, and the chrome bits are mirror like.  No case.  Matching color motor sounds great  This machine reminds me of a 57' Chevy.

If no takers, I'll be displaying/demonstrating to sell it Dec 7-8 Christmas Craft Sale at our Victorian house in Scandinavia, WI.   Thank you for looking.

JA 23 plus other numbers stamped on the pretty Universal.

I also have a blue/ivory American Beauty with bad power cord that needs replaced. Haven't photographed it yet, but could if you want to see it.

Thank you for this - I did not have JA-23 associated with Universal before.
