I've been in a finishing/clean-up type mood lately!

Spring is in the air!  I've re-started working on the re-finish of a M. Washington table I got last year.  I was having a hell of a time getting the finish to cure.  I gave up and gave it a rest and the new Spring weather has given me a re-start on the project.  *More on that another day!

This is a "memory bear" I started last year. It's actually just a test run since the clothes I used came from a freebie sale and hold no personal memories for me.  It had been sitting around as a bear with no face since late last year and my grandson Country asked me when I was going to put the eyes on lol! It worked up much larger than I thought it would but all in all I am happy with it.

The quilt on the wall behind it is made from a bag I got a couple years ago at a yard sale.  The tumbler pieces were all cut but there were 36 blue and 34 gold.  [confused]  I couldn't make that work no matter how hard I tried, so I gathered the few scraps that were left in the bag and pieced them together to make another gold tumbler.  I am hopeful that after quilting it won't be noticeable.

In an effort to still use up more odd bits i pieced together the backing--really when would I ever use up that ballerina cat fabric??

The bear is adorable. Nice patchwork on the tumbler block. Don't point it out and you'll be the only one who notices.

Nice work! I've had to piece together scraps before to do the same. No one ever notices until I point it out, so I've stopped pointing it out lol.

Thank you Penny and Cari!  I am hopeful that once quilted it won't even show.  I pieced the batting for the middle too so since it's all pulled together from yard sale finds and random scrap, I'm called it "Waste not, Want Not".  My gramma used to say that all the time.  ♥
