This one is loosely based on a courthouse setting of a log cabin block. I am sick of working with scraps and ready for something else!

Very pretty quilt...Great job!

I admire your basket making skills. I tried those once and failed miserably. I don't have enough hands to hold the rope, fabric and still be able to feed it all through the machine. Yours are awesome.

Hi Mavis [wave]Sending you admiration.  A fantastic quilt!

And, I am so impressed with your baskets.  Wow.

Congratulations on your beautiful sewing projects.  Thanks for sharing your pics.  Will you do a demonstration of sewing the baskets during our June 13, 2020 VSF Sewing Machine Extravaganza in Scandinavia, Wisconsin?

The quilt is very pretty!  and I love the quilting you did on it.  I have to say I love the baskets too.  I've thought about making one often and have just never gotton around to it.  It looks like you've been busy!

Mavis-
Very nice! Your quilt remids me of a tutorial Ashley posted on her blog Film in the Fridge. I planned to make one but never got around to it. Your post reminds me to put this quilt closer to the top of my list.

Thanks for the kind comments.  Linda, I'm still not able to firmly commit on this year's get-together.  Still have my fingers crossed, and I'll keep you posted as schedules get more firmed up.

Scraps seem to be never ending with a quilting hobby.  My mind has lots of ideas but life gets in the way, and I just get too tired to get them all done!  By the time I finished these projects, I still have lots of scraps left, and I'm sick of working on them for a while.  They seem too good to just throw out, and it is fabric that I paid for.  I know the day will come where I'll be motivated to make some more projects.  One that I've never tried is to make some landscape wall art...along the lines of Nancy Ziemann's shows (back in the day).  For now, I'll go back to making bed size quilts, and more scraps, of course [smile] !

I really want to try making some of those baskets! They're just so pretty, and useful.
