Hello to everyone :-) I started this quilt about two years ago on my 127 treadles and have been recently also using a Spartan. I think this quilt might take ten years to finish! I have another piece about three times bigger than this one, but I wanted to share this part of the quilt top. Whenever I’m in a thrift store, I look for shirts with animals, roses, tropical prints, etc., to sew onto the squares.

I sort of fly by the seat of my pants with quilting. I know it has a lot of imperfections, but that’s OK with me, as this is my first quilt.

Very creative! I don't see imperfections, I see a lot of creativity going on here. Good for you!

Welcome to the quilting world.... it is addicting!  A "collage" was the first thing that came to mind as I looked at your quilt.  If it were for a child, they would call it an "eye spy."   Tackling your first quilt is an adventure, isn't it?  Stay with it and you will be thrilled when you can say you'e finished your first quilt!  And, be sure to show us more photos when it's done!
