After the first one I said I wouldn't make another. Evidently I lied. I wanted to make a quilt with civil war fabrics. Don't ask me why because I don't know. I've never used these fabrics before and probably won't again. The pic doesn't do the prints any justice that's for sure. Blue, brown, red and neutrals. Here's the first rows. I tried to be random yet get 4 of each color in each row.
S5030404.jpg  I've stopped at this point because I joined a block swap. 6" star blocks. 12 down, 12 more to go.

Cari, those cw fabrics look great in your triangle quilt. Nice stars, too. What are the other two star patterns?

Cari,

Your quilts are fabulous.  Look at those perfect points.  Great sewing.

Lori the blocks are wonky stars and friendship stars. They are about as difficult as I want to go at 6". I'm not making 6" blocks with a gazillion pieces lol. My wonky stars aren't very wonky. *shrugs* They'll have to do. 6 more friendship stars and I'm done.
Thank you Deb and Linda. I've never joined a swap before so I was real careful at the machine. If they were for me they probably wouldn't look this good because I excel at hiding booboos in the seam allowance lolol.

Cari, I always love seeing your projects, too!  The friendship stars quilt blocks always are a favorite of mine, but the other two are very striking.  Be sure to show us more photos as you progress!

The wonky stars are really fun - I like them a lot.  Looking forward to seeing more of your progress.
