I need the weird little shuttle for an American.  There are two styles -- I need the earlier style, like this.  (These are frame grabs from a youtube video.  If the video was taken by someone who sees this, and I've published a picture of your thumb, I apologize!)

(I need a bobbin, too.)

Sorry I don't have a shuttle or bobbin for you, Paul, but I did scan a page from a parts manual that has drawings of both the shuttle and bobbin.  Maybe it'll help with letting others know what you need.

Oh, crap!  I don't know why my photos seem to want to show up here upside-down.  It doesn't pull up this way on my computer.  Maybe one of the nice moderators will rotate it for us, sorry.

There is a machine on Ebay with shuttle & bobbin. On a good day, i might be able to make copies of parts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-American-Button-Hole-Overseaming-And-Sewing-Machine-Co-Circa-1870/264804775783?hash=item3da7983767:g:VjkAAOSwEDlfGKAo

Thanks -- I know the shuttle/bobbin won't be cheap, but that machine is almost twice what I paid for mine.  :-)   (But thanks for posting -- such good pictures of an ABHO machine are rare.)

I probably should have driven to Long Island for this one in the first place, except that that's 8 or more hours of driving...  https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/935233736816799

Yes, thanks.  It's the "American No. 1" style that I need.  Not "No. 7".  Nor any of the others on that page.  ;-)

Well, not _that_ lovely a drive.  And I confess, I'm not that interested in buying machines that don't need any work.  And that one needs nothing.  I hope it ends up in a good home -- its been advertised forever.
