I hope my questions are not too amateur for this forum. I’m learning from the ground up.

I have three pairs of cording feet, “left” and “right” toes for each pair.

The three “right” toes each have a different part number: 160845 160846 125035

What is the differences in these three feet? I looked them up on a Singer site but it just said “right cording foot.”

Would they have been made for different models?

I have Singer machines 201-2, 15-91, 15-30, 185k3, and a 252. I am piecing together a set of basic pressure feet to be kept with each machine.

Thanks! Caroline

I checked mine, and as far as I can see, they are the same. I think it's possible the differing numbers are due to Singer changing their numbering system, so some might be older. While they might have been paired with different machines at the time, functionally they are the same.

The first two numbers you gave are a right and left pair, BTW.

Here's a page with pictures and such for a whole lot of attachments:

There is no such thing here.

The feet numbered 160845 and 160846 would've originally come with the attachment set for a 206, 306 or 319 machine.  Those are one of the few "sets" of cording feet that I've come across. Not sure what the 125035 foot would've originally come with.  I've also seen part numbers for cording feet that were only 5 digits, so I assume those were older feet.

I have found 125035 in multiple parts lists including 66-8, 66-14_15_18_24, 99-13, 128-8 and 201. I could not find a parts list for the 185 or 252. I also know that the 1938 Machine Sewing book has a page for "Attachments for Family Sewing Machines" lists the 125035 for all machines including domestic 15s, 101, 115 and 221.
