As direct links you can download or try to view online

I'm not a fan of YouTube - although I have a couple of "who cares anyway" videos hosted there. Myself, I prefer a direct download link - but I'm probably in the minority.

I don't know what the pros and cons are, really, but I think I prefer direct download.  Seems like they might be hard to find on YouTube.

Either way works for me but every time I go to U tube it's worse than facebook. I'll look up 3 hours later and wonder where the day went.

Either, any or all of the methods will work for me.    Finally I'm on high speed internet and videos give me no trouble.  Matter fo fact I spend a lot of time on You-Tube being entertained by airplane videos, music videos, and others.  I might have even watched a sewing video one.

I love the old iron and wood machines. They're solid and reliable.

Good to see your on something besides dialup Joe.  That got old even when it was common.  We have DSL here but it's a little on the slow side.  The phone lines aren't that great here.  The price is right but would prefer cable internet.  Much faster.
I don't have a preference on the videos.  Whatever works for the person uploading them.

I say use Google/YouTube's bandwidth and just post the video link here using the "insert video" feature.
We don't really have to go looking for something on YouTube, so it's not a getting lost issue.  They post really nicely in the posts by default.

If I want to download a video from YouTube, I use one of the various Video Download plugins for Firefox.

I don't have one of those Tammi but I do have a neat little thing my son put on my computer that enables me to download just the audio of any Utube music video onto my computer so I can put it on a cd. That's what I used to make a music CD for my Aunts funeral.

Which tool did he use for that?  Sometimes I'd like that ability and the plugin I use only has that available for pro users - which I don't need at this point.

Tammi I can't remember what it's called so I can't find it right now, but it turns the videos into MP3 files. I'll ask him tonight what the name of it is so I can find it on my computer. I hated this Win8 right from the start, stupid upgrade to 8.1 was even worse, and since I put everything from my XP hard drive on it, everything is so convoluted I never know where things are or what they're named now. I've got crap on here (from the XP) that goes all the way back to my old Gateway with WinME. It's a mess.

If you have windows 8 - upgrade it to windows 10. Microsoft is really pushing this as they realize what a mess 8 is. Its free for another month or so...

Tammi,  How do you get the Windows 10?  Can you download the exe. and install it later if you want to or are you trapped into doing it immediately?  I've had concerns about 10 and wanted to take a wait and see approach.

I have Windows 7 and have had great luck with it.
